An F-14B "Bombcat" from VF-142 does a slow starboard roll as it
patrols the skies over Iraq on Oct. 18, 1994. Configured for
Close Air Support, this "Ghostrider" aircraft is loaded out with
two Mk 82 500 pound bombs as well as AIM-120 AMRAAM and AIM-9
Sidewinder missiles. VF-142 is one of ten squadrons that make up
Carrier Air Wing Seven, embarked onboard the USS George
Washington (CVN 73). The aircraft carrier is on station in the
Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Vigilant Warrior.
